Ramco has received IATF 16949: 2016 certification putting the company in line with the most up-to-date, global requirements for quality management systems. This certification, which supersedes Ramco’s previous ISO/TS: 2009 accordance, is a global industry standard of quality management that reflects an unprecedented level of industry data and discussion.
The stringent new IATF standard was created by the International Automotive Task Force, a group of automotive manufacturers dedicated to providing improved quality products to automotive customers worldwide. This new requirement brings together standards from both the U.S. and Europe, defining standards for design, manufacture, installation and service of automotive products. It brings together the various assessment and certification systems of the global automotive supply chain. Operating by this new standard aligns Ramco with worldwide standards of consistency and quality management.
The new IATF standard strives to bring quality management and continual improvement to the heart of an organization. The new regulations include more accountability and ownership over the quality management system from the management team, and ensure that top management has greater involvement in integrating the requirements into their organization’s processes. The new regulation also sets standards meant to improve customer satisfaction.
In order to obtain this certification Ramco was required to show that its management team is dedicated to providing commitment and leadership when it comes to implementing this quality management system and thereby providing quality products.
By complying with the new IATF standard Ramco increases its qualifications for work within the global automotive industry and demonstrates dedication to the most industry-intensive requirements for product planning and creation, product requirements review, design, purchasing, and control of equipment used to monitor and measure products.
Ramco is proud to be certified for IATF 16949: 2016 and establishing its commitment to a quality-driven automotive supply chain.
